DEPUTIES JAIL ROSEBURG MAN FOR ALLEGED STRANGULATION/HARASSMENT

Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a Roseburg man Saturday for strangulation and harassment after an alleged incident that took place Wednesday night at approximately 11:00 p.m.

A DCSO report said deputies responded to a disturbance in the 200 block of Pleasant Avenue, just north of Roseburg. The 38-year suspect had reportedly smacked a victim in the face and kicked her and choked her. The victim had markings consistent with her story.

The suspect was located later and taken into custody. He was charged with a felony-count of strangulation and for harassment. The man was detained without bail.
