Sutherlin Police jailed a man after alleged restraining order violations on Thursday.

An SPD report said at 5:50 p.m. 29-year Joshua Eatherton was captured on surveillance video stealing bags of cans from a property he is restrained from through two separate restraining orders. The residence is in the 800 block of East Third Avenue.

Eatherton was later located at a property in the 200 block of Camas Court and denied the incident. When told he was under arrest, Eatherton repeatedly said he wasn’t and would handle it another time. Eventually after Eatherton continued to be uncooperative, he was taken into custody at taser point.

He was charged with two counts of a restraining order violation and third-degree theft. Bail was set at $1,300. Eatherton was released on Friday.
