UNF SUPERVISOR’S OFFICE HAS MOVED INTO NEW FACILITY

April 11, 2024 3:30 a.m.

The Umpqua National Forest has announced the successful relocation of all staff to the newly constructed headquarters at 777 Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard.

Monday was the official move-in date for all UNF employees. The change faced delays due to recent inspections. Despite the setback, public services have been operational since March 18th.

The new building will serve as part of the newly named Roseburg Interagency Office. The UNF release said the strategic move underscores the collaborative commitment of the U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Fish and Wildlife, and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to providing easier accessibility to the public to deliver services.

UNF said since opening the doors to the public, the new facility has been met with positive feedback from guests and visitors. A shared front desk with staff from both BLM and the Forest Service has created a one-stop shop for trip-planning, permits and passes. A shared interagency phone number is now available at 541-440-4930. The front lobby is open extended hours weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with permit sales ending each day at 4:00 p.m.

Forest Supervisor for the Umpqua National Forest Alice Carleton said, “Our team has demonstrated resilience and adaptability throughout this process”. Carleton said, “We are excited to embark on this journey in our new headquarters and collaboration hub to drive excellence and deliver unparalleled value to our community and visitors”.
