Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a man following an alleged assault incident early Tuesday.
A DCSO report said at 6:50 a.m. 40-year-old Joshua Harding was detoxing from methamphetamine and acted out due to a perceived lack of food being in the house at a residence in the 100 block of Molalla Court, just north of Roseburg. After arguing with family members, Harding allegedly busted in a bedroom door and hit a victim in the shoulder, causing a bruise. Before a deputy arrived, the man had left the residence.
Harding was located later. He was charged with fourth-degree assault, harassment, and for second-degree criminal mischief. Harding was detained without bail.
