Roseburg Police jailed a woman following a littering incident on Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 10:30 a.m. officers responded to the former Visitor’s Center building in the 400 block of Southeast Spruce Street after getting numerous reports of litter along the riverbank. The 57-year-old was contacted at her camp, which was described as “filthy”. Her camp covered an approximate twenty-foot stretch of the riverbank.

She was arrested and transported to corrections where 2.7 grams of methamphetamine was allegedly found in her possession. The woman was charged with unlawful possession of meth and for depositing trash within 100 yards of water.

She was detained on $50,000 bail.
