Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged strangulation incident on Monday.

An RPD report said at 8:30 p.m. officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard after a caller said there was a domestic incident, and a man was seen choking a female. Dispatch advised that the woman was running away from the man on Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard.

Video surveillance from nearby businesses showed the 26-year-old choking a female. The victim said she could not breathe while she was being choked. ‘The suspect was charged with strangulation. He was detained without bail.
