WINSTON POLICE RESPOND AFTER DOG BITES CHILD

Winston Police responded after a dog bit a child on Sunday.

Information from WPD released Friday said at about 2:00 p.m. officers and medical personnel were dispatched to the 300 block of Northwest Pintail Avenue, regarding a dog bite. A nine-month-old child was bitten by the family dog, without provocation.

The child was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center for injuries from the incident.  The child was in stable condition and later returned home. The dog was surrendered to Saving Grace Pet Adoption Center.
