Roseburg Police jailed a man on weapons charges and for a warrant on Wednesday morning.

An RPD report said at 11:45 a.m. officers contacted 51-year-old. Shawn Vorhis at Stewart Park on Northwest Stewart Parkway. Vorhis was found to have a valid warrant for his arrest. After he was taken into custody, he was reportedly found to have a spring assisted knife concealed in his pocket. He is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing the knife.

Vorhis was charged with being a felon in possession of a restricted weapon and carrying a concealed weapon and was also detained for the warrant. Bail was set at $18,750.
