Roseburg Police jailed a man for offensive littering on Wednesday afternoon.

An RPD report said just before 1:00 p.m. officers contacted multiple people who were camping in a city parking lot in the 700 block of Southeast Stephens Street. Multiple city ordinance violations had been issued earlier in the day and everyone was asked to clean up the extensive amount of trash that was in the area.

When officers responded the second time, they arrested one of the occupants of the camp. The 47-year-old was also issued his third and final city exclusion notice along with a citation for prohibited camping. The man was detained on $1,250 bail.
