A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect through 11:00 p.m. Wednesday for mountain areas in parts of southern Oregon.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said wet snow is expected above 5,500 feet. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 10 inches are forecast.
The Advisory area includes the south central and southern Oregon Cascades and Siskiyou Mountains. It applies to portions of highways 230, 138, and 62 around Crater Lake and Diamond Lake.
Motorists should plan on slippery road conditions. Drivers should slow down and allow extra time to reach their destination. Carry tire chains and be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities.
