Roseburg Police jailed a man for a parole violation following an incident early Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 2:20 a.m. the 43-year-old was contacted at a business in the 500 block of Northeast Winchester Street where he was allegedly messing with their ice machine. Officers were unable to contact the store owners to see if any damage was caused.

The man admitted to smoking methamphetamine. His parole officer was contacted and wanted him detained for violating the conditions of his parole. The suspect was detained without bail.
