Roseburg Police jailed a man for a reported trespass incident on Wednesday night.

An RPD report said at 9:20 p.m. officers contacted the 40-year-old after he was called in for allegedly trespassing inside a store in the 1500 block of Southeast Stephens Street. He was previously trespassed from the location on several occasions. The business wished to pursue charges and the suspect was taken into custody without incident.

The report said the man admitted to knowing he wasn’t allowed in the store, but said he was so hungry he was trying to be very quick.

The man was charged with second-degree criminal trespass and detained without bail.
