A ridge of high pressure building into the region combined with an offshore flow will lead to early May like conditions for the Umpqua Valley from Friday through Tuesday.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford said high temperatures will be 10 to 12 degrees above normal for the five-day period. The mercury is forecast to be at or just above 70 degrees between Friday and Monday in Roseburg, cooling slightly to the mid to upper 60s on Tuesday. Dry conditions are expected through Tuesday with a chance of precipitation returning to the forecast on Wednesday.
Forecasters said even with the warmer weather, no record high temperatures for the dates are expected.
