March 11, 2024 4:00 a.m.

A Wind Advisory is in effect Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. for elevated terrain in Central Douglas County, eastern Curry County and Josephine County.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said south winds of 15 to 25 miles per hour with gusts up to 45 miles per hour are expected. There is a low chance of wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour in the coastal ranges farther to the west.

Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Winds this strong can make driving difficult for high profile vehicles.
