ROSEBURG POLICE ARREST TWO PEOPLE FOR ALLEGED KIDNAPPING/ROBBERY

Roseburg Police arrested two people for an alleged kidnapping incident early Friday.

An RPD report said at 3:00 a.m. officers contacted 38-year-old Rushil Solay of Grants Pass and 30-year-old Aleida Santos of Medford in the 3100 block of Northwest Aviation Drive after they were called in for kidnapping a Medford man from a Grants Pass address.

The victim told officers he was held at gunpoint and that both suspects zip tied him in the back of their vehicle and stole several thousand dollars from him. Officers located a firearm and several items of evidence from the hotel they were staying at. Both suspects were taken into custody without incident.

They were both charged with first-degree counts of kidnapping, robbery, and theft along with menacing. Solay was also charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm and for unlawful use of a firearm. Solay and Santos were each detained without bail.
