Winston Police jailed a man on driving and drug charges on Friday night.

A WPD report said at 7:20 p.m. officers stopped the 48-year-old in the 10000 block of Highway 99 South. His driver’s license was suspended at the misdemeanor level. Officers observed drug paraphernalia in the vehicle and took the driver into custody. Officers allegedly located just under an ounce of methamphetamine in the man’s possession.

He was charged with driving while suspended and unlawful possession of meth. The man was detained without bail.
