A High Wind Warning is in effect from 10:00 p.m. Saturday through 8:00 a.m. Sunday for the headlands and exposed areas of Highway 101 on the south central and Curry County coast.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said south winds of 45 to 55 miles per hour with gusts up to 75 miles per hour are possible.

The Warning area includes the cities of Port Orford, Gold Beach, Pistol River, Reedsport and surrounding areas.

Forecasters said damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
