March 7, 2024 10:00 a.m.

Thrive Umpqua and the Umpqua Valley Tennis Center will have an open house as part of the Community Well-Being Challenge that is underway.

The event will be on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the tennis center on Northwest Stewart Parkway.

Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of recreation sports including pickleball, tennis and ping pong – all free of charge. Loaner equipment and instruction will be provided to ensure that everyone can participate. In addition, participants can enter free drawings for a chance to win prizes, including a three-month membership package to the tennis center.

Thrive Umpqua Executive Director Jess Hand said everyone is welcome and no experience is necessary. Hand said, “It’s a great opportunity for families to try something together and experience all that UVTC has to offer. Through this Well-Being Challenge, our goal is to promote the many ways you can stay active in our community”.

Children must be accompanied by an adult while attending.
