March 7, 2024 4:10 a.m.

A Freeze Warning remains in effect though 9:00 a.m. Thursday morning for coastal areas in southern Oregon.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said sub-freezing temperatures as low as 28 degrees are possible.

The Warning area includes the Curry, Coos and Douglas County coast. Forecasters said frost and freeze conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation and could possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing. Residents should take steps to protect tender plants from the cold.
