FOUR PEOPLE TAKEN TO HOSPITAL AFTER HEAD-ON COLLISION

Four people were taken to the hospital after a head-on collision on Friday afternoon.

An Oregon State Police report said at 4:40 p.m. troopers responded to the crash on Highway 42, about five miles west of Camas Valley. The driver of a sedan was heading east when he lost traction due to snowy conditions. His vehicle entered the west bound lane and collided with a pickup. Both drivers and two passengers were transported by ambulance to CHI Mercy Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the sedan, a 29-year-old from Roseburg, is listed in stable condition, according to a hospital spokesperson. The other three people are not currently listed as patients
