A 26-year-old woman was hospitalized after a single-vehicle crash on Monday night.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 9:30 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the accident in the 11000 block of Garden Valley Road, west of Roseburg. The female was being transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center as the deputy arrived. An investigation revealed the woman was driving an SUV when it left the roadway at what appeared to be a high rate of speed, rolled for 300 feet going through a Douglas Fast Net pole before coming to rest on its wheels. No one witnessed the wreck.
When the deputy went to the hospital, the driver was unable to communicate verbally due to medications and possible injuries. The vehicle was completely totaled and had to be towed from the scene.
