WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY/WINTER STORM WARNING FOR MOUNTAIN AREAS

March 3, 2024 6:20 a.m. 

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect through Sunday evening at 10:00 p.m. with a Winter Storm Warning from 10:00 a.m. Monday through 4:00 p.m. Tuesday for mountain areas of southern Oregon.

For the Advisory, an additional 4 to 9 inches of snow is expected. Winds will gust as high as 35 miles per hour. For the Warning, heavy snow is forecast with total accumulations of 1 to 2 feet. Winds will gust as high as 45 miles per hour.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said this is for the south central and southern Oregon Cascades and Siskiyou Mountains. It applies to Crater Lake, Diamond Lake and Union Creek along with highways 62, 230, 138, and 58.

Travel could be difficult to impossible.
