WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR CENTRAL DOUGLAS COUNTY

March 2, 2024 10:20 a.m. 

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 10:00 a.m. Sunday above 2,000 feet for central Douglas County.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said additional accumulations of 3 to 6 inches are expected.

The Advisory area includes Canyon Creek Pass on Interstate 5. Up to 1 inch of snow could still accumulate on the valley floors through the advisory duration.

Forecasters said travel is still discouraged because of difficult conditions. Those who must travel should keep tire chains, a flashlight, blankets, food, water, medications and a fully charged phone with them.
