Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a man from Green, following an alleged DUII incident Friday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said shortly before 8:50 a.m. the 47-year-old went to a residence in the 2200 block of Castle Street to yell at the homeowner. A deputy arrived at the scene and contacted the man who showed signs of impairment. When the deputy went to contact the homeowner, the suspect reportedly decided to hop in his truck, drive partially down the road and then back into the driveway of another nearby residence.

A second deputy contacted the man and also saw signs of impairment. The suspect allegedly refused to perform standard field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. He also reportedly refused a breath test once at the jail. A search warrant was applied for and granted. The man allegedly continued to refuse the test. He was taken to CHI Mercy Medical Center where deputies had to hold him down to get the blood samples.

The man was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants and for reckless driving. He was detained without bail.
