The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a sedan following a reported eluding incident early Thursday.

A DCSO report said just after 1:20 a.m. a deputy saw the vehicle commit multiple traffic violations in an attempt to get away while traveling southbound on Interstate 5 near Canyonville. The deputy caught up with the vehicle about a mile later and attempted a traffic stop. The driver failed to yield, and a pursuit was initiated.

The sedan went through downtown Canyo9nville before heading out Tiller Trail Highway where the deputy lost sight of it near the Days Creek Cut Off Road. The pursuit was terminated at that point. Other deputies were also unable to locate the vehicle. It was described as a 2000’s white Ford Escort 2-door.
