Roseburg Police jailed a Washington State man following an alleged DUII wreck on Thursday afternoon.
An RPD report said the 29-year-old allegedly struck two vehicles in the parking lot of a business in the 100 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard with his company truck, towing a twenty-foot trailer, in an attempt to maneuver the wrong way through the parking lot.
Witnesses tried to stop the man, but he fled the scene. A witness was able to get the company information off the truck and called the driver’s supervisor, who ordered the man to return to the accident scene. When he came back, the driver was found to be intoxicated and reportedly performed poorly on standard field sobriety tests.
The man was charged with DUII and for two counts of failure to perform the duties of a driver-property damage. He was detained on $10,000 bail and was released later in the day.
