Roseburg Police jailed a man after an alleged hit and run incident on Thursday night.
An RPD report said at 6:15 p.m. officers contacted the 32-year-old after his pickup allegedly crashed into the side of another vehicle and drove away from the intersection of Northwest Stewart Parkway and West Harvard Avenue.
The victim followed the other vehicle to where it was parked and contacted the police. The suspect driver talked to RPD officers and said he didn’t remember what had happened. The man admitted to seeing the other vehicle but was unsure about crashing into the side of it. Other callers reported that the man was driving recklessly and dangerously on Stewart Parkway.
He was charged with failure to perform the duties of a driver-property damage. The man was detained without bail.
