Roseburg Police jailed a man and cited a woman in a drug law violation case on Thursday afternoon.
An RPD report at 1:45 p.m. officers responded after a caller said there was a suspicious vehicle in the 2000 block of Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard. Officers contacted a 49-year-old man and learned that he had a warrant for his arrest. Officers gained consent to search the vehicle and allegedly located scales, packaging, and a small amount of suspected methamphetamine in a backpack associated with the man.
An additional 9.2 grams of suspected meth was reportedly located in the center console, associated with a 49-year-old woman who was also in the vehicle. The man was detained without bail. The woman was cited and released for a felony count of unlawful possession of meth.
