Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a Winchester Bay transient following an alleged assault and burglary incident on Monday night.

A DCSO report released late Wednesday said a deputy was dispatched twice for disturbances to a victim’s trailer in the 75000 block of Highway 101 near Reedsport. The first time, 31-year-old Alexander Lessar had allegedly climbed in the trailer through the window and the victim just wanted him to leave.

An hour later, just before 11:30 p.m. the deputy was sent back to the location after Lessar reportedly came back, punched out a window and forced his way into the trailer. The victim claimed that Lessar grabbed her by the wrist and jerked her back into the trailer when she tried to leave. The victim rated her level of pain at a 9 out of a 10 and already had bruising from the incident.

Lessar was taken into custody and charged with two counts of first-degree burglary, fourth-degree assault, second-degree criminal mischief and harassment. He was detained on $20,000 bail.
