Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged theft incident early Thursday.

An RPD report said at just before 5:20 a.m. officers detained the 32-year-old on the charge of second-degree theft and for a parole violation after he allegedly stole a pair of boots off the front step of an apartment in the 500 block of West Agee Street.

He was detained on $6,250 bail.
