ROSEBURG SCHOOL DISTRICT ACCEPTING PRE-K APPLICATIONS

Roseburg School District will begin accepting Pre-K applications for the 2024-25 school year on Friday, March 1st.

Early Learning Facilitator Tatum Stedman said all families living within district boundaries are encouraged to apply now for their child to be considered for placement in the program. Stedman said to be eligible, children must turn 4 years old on or before September 1st, 2024. Families will receive notification regarding potential placements on or before June 9th.

Applications will remain open throughout the 2024-25 school year. After May 1st, applicants will be added to a waitlist. Those at the top of the list will be added if slots become available.

Those interested in applying are welcome to attend “A Peek into Pre-K” from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on April 10th. At this optional event, potential applicants can visit any of the district’s three Pre-K sites and learn more about the program.

The district release said Pre-K is offered at Eastwood Elementary – in partnership with the Douglas Education Service District, and at Winchester and Green elementary schools. The program offers morning or afternoon sessions four days per week, with no school on Wednesdays. There is no cost to attend.
