A Roseburg man was jailed by Roseburg Police for a reported theft incident on Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 12:30 p.m. officers responded after a caller said there was a shoplifter in the 3000 block of Northwest Aviation Drive. The 52-year-old admitted to stealing over $500 worth of merchandise and was arrested. It was also confirmed that the suspect had a warrant for his arrest.

The man was charged with second-degree theft and for the warrant. Bail was set at $6,250.
