A Roseburg woman was charged by Roseburg Police for allegedly attempting to elude on Saturday night.

An RPD report said at 8:50 p.m. an officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a sedan near Southeast Fowler Street and Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard after a traffic violation was observed. The vehicle reportedly attempted to elude the officer until it finally stopped near West Union Street and West Brown Avenue.

The 55-year-old driver was arrested and charged with attempting to elude in a vehicle and for violation of the basic speed rule. She was released after being booked into corrections.
