Roseburg saw sunny conditions and above normal temperatures between Friday and Sunday, just ahead of a big change in the weather.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the mercury reached 65 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport on Friday. Saturday and Sunday saw highs of 62 degrees each day. While no record high temperatures were set, it was several degrees above the normal highs which are in the mid-50s for those dates in February.
A storm system hitting the region is forecast to bring rain to the Umpqua Valley with possible snow at higher elevations for the next several days. Highs will range from the low 40s to the low 50s with overnight lows between the freezing mark and the low 40s.
