Roseburg Police jailed a man on Thursday for an alleged prior burglary.

An RPD report said on or about February 14th, a victim returned to his home in the 1800 block of West Harvard Avenue and found that it had been broken into with numerous items moved around. 37-year-old Patrick Thompson was developed as a person of interest in the case and was contacted Thursday at about 1:40 p.m. Thompson was interviewed and reportedly confessed to the burglary.

He was charged with first-degree burglary, second and third-degree counts of criminal mischief and third-degree theft. Thompson was detained on $30,000 bail.
