ROSEBURG POLICE DETAIN WOMAN ON 13 CHARGES

Roseburg Police detained a woman on 13 charges after contacting her on Thursday.

An RPD report said at 5:00 p.m. 37-year-old Tamara Owsley was spotted in the 600 block of West Madrone Street after being developed as a suspect in a case. During the months of November and December, Owsley allegedly deposited fraudulent checks belonging to a victim into her account on three different occasions.

During the investigation, officers reportedly found a firearm concealed in her vehicle along with 91 grams of methamphetamine and packaging material related to delivering.

Owsley was charged with three counts each of first-degree forgery and theft, three counts of identity theft, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of methamphetamine, attempted delivery of meth within 1,000 feet of a school and for attempting to commit a class A felony. Owsley was detained without bail.
