A Yoncalla woman was jailed for an alleged assault incident on Sunday night.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 9:50 p.m. a deputy responded to the 100 block of Williams Road in Yoncalla after a caller said there was a disturbance. 46-year-old Pamela Matteson allegedly took a phone out of a victim’s hand and when he tried to get it back by leaning into the driver’s side of the truck, she reportedly drove off.

The victim claimed that he was dragged several feet by the truck. The deputy documented road rash injuries to the victim’s right arm, right hand, right knee, right ankle and to most of his back.

Matteson was charged with third-degree assault, and second-degree counts of criminal mischief and trespass. She was detained without bail.
