ROSEBURG POLICE DEALT WITH FIVE DUII INCIDENTS BETWEEN FRIDAY NIGHT AND EARLY SUNDAY

Roseburg Police dealt with five driving while intoxicated incidents between Friday evening and early Sunday.

An RPD report said shortly after 10:30 p.m. officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of Southeast Spruce Street and Southeast Washington Avenue and observed signs that the male driver was intoxicated. The 28-year-old from Oakland allegedly performed poorly on standard field sobriety tests.  He was cited and released for DUII, and his vehicle was picked up by a sober driver.

Saturday morning at 12:30 a.m. officers responded after a caller said an intoxicated man was asleep at the wheel in the drive through of In-N-Out in the 2800 block of Northwest Aviation Drive. Officers contacted the 32-year-old Roseburg man and found that he was very intoxicated. The driver also was on parole with a stipulation of no intoxicating substances. He was charged with DUII and a parole violation. Bail was set at $10,000.

Sunday at approximately 12:40 a.m. officers saw an SUV leave an establishment and begin to speed on Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard. Officers conducted a traffic stop and contacted the 27-year-old female driver. She showed signs of impairment and allegedly performed poorly on standard field sobriety tests. The woman was taken into custody before being cited and released for DUII.

Later just after 2:10 a.m. officers contacted a man during a traffic stop in the 200 block of Southeast Jackson Street. The 29-year-old driver appeared highly intoxicated. He allegedly performed poorly on standard field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. The man was cited and released for DUII.

At 2:40 a.m. officers stopped a 25-year-old Oakland man for multiple violations at the intersection of Northeast Jackson Street and Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard. The driver reportedly performed poorly on standard field sobriety tests. He was taken to corrections where he was cited and released for DUII.
