CHI Mercy Health’s Shaw Heart and Vascular Specialists are presenting a Heart Health Fair open to the community on Friday.

The event will be held on Mercy’s campus in conference rooms A & B, which are located on the first floor.

From 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. information about keeping hearts healthy will be presented. There will also be heart healthy snacks and beverages along with therapy dog visits.  The event includes:

*Blood pressure and body mass index readings

*Chat with cardiology and family medicine providers

*Dental hygiene and its effects on heart health

*Mental health and stress effects on heart and blood pressure

*Chronic care management

*Smoking cessation

*Diabetes program

*Emergency preparedness with heart disease

Supporting community partners include: Adapt Integrated Health Care, Aviva Health, CHI-Mercy Health – Mercy Foundation, CHI Mercy Health – Cardiac Rehab, Dieticians and Volunteer Services, Douglas Public Health Network, Evergreen Family Medicine and Thrive Umpqua.
