A Roseburg man was jailed by Roseburg Police for a drug charge and a warrant on Sunday night.
An RPD report said at 7:50 p.m. officers contacted the 33-year-old at the intersection and Southeast Stephens Street and Southeast Douglas Avenue believing the driver had a warrant. Once the warrant was confirmed the officer told the man that he was under arrest. The suspect attempted to run from the officer but was caught almost immediately and taken into custody.
The man allegedly had 2.4 grams of methamphetamine in his possession. He was charged with a misdemeanor count of unlawful possession of meth and the warrant. Bail was set at $7,500.
