A transient was jailed by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office for warrants after being contacted on Friday.
A DCSO report said at 8:00 a.m. a deputy observed two vehicles parked near the intersection of Rolling Hills Road and Austin Road in Green. The deputy noticed that two subjects were sleeping in one of the vehicles. The man allegedly immediately put a jacket over his face when the deputy made contact.
The female transient was cooperative and provided her information. Other deputies were able to help identify the man. Dispatchers said he had a felony parole board warrant and a warrant out of Roseburg. The transient was cooperative and was taken into custody without incident.
He was detained for the warrants and was held on $10,000 bail.
