TRANSIENT JAILED FOR ALLEGED RECENT BURGLARY AT A CHURCH

A transient was jailed for an alleged recent burglary at a church.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said on February 8th a victim reported that someone had entered the church on 8th Street in Winchester Bay and taken a laptop worth $175. The caller said the breakers were turned off but nothing else was out of place or stolen.

Later a video was obtained that reportedly showed that 35-year-old Anthony Moore had reportedly entered the building. He was located on February 16th. Moore was charged with second-degree counts of burglary and theft, and third-degree criminal mischief.

He was detained without bail and was released on Sunday.
