Douglas County government will close Monday, but there will be exceptions.

A County release said Commissioners Chris Boice, Tim Freeman and Tom Kress would like to remind residents that offices at the Courthouse, Justice Building, County Annex in Reedsport, museum, fairgrounds, landfill and transfer stations, and all external government offices will not be open, in observance of President’s Day.

Operating as normal will be:

*The Umpqua River Lighthouse Museum in Winchester Day

*Salmon Harbor Marina and the Winchester Bay RV Park

*All county operated parks, campgrounds and boat ramps

Even though the Sheriff’s Office lobby entrance will be closed Monday, Sheriff’s Deputies, 911 communications and other Douglas County Sheriff’s Office staff will continue to provide law enforcement protection and emergency assistance for residents. Those with an emergency, can still call 911. To reach dispatch for a non-emergency, call 440-4471.
