The Oregon State University Extension Service will have a free gardening class on Thursday at the Discovery Garden on River Forks Park Road, next to River Forks Park.

For those who want to grow jalapenos, bell peppers or anything in between, participants will learn how to start their seeds in this class. Expert Master Gardener Bruce Gravens will share his techniques for growing peppers in Douglas County. Attendees will leave this class with the knowledge of how to start peppers along with several seed starts. Registration is not required for this class, only an interest in gardening more sustainably.

Those attending should meet at the pavilion at the Discovery Garden a few minutes before 10:00 a.m.
