A Bend man was jailed following an alleged burglary incident in Drain on Sunday.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 9:50 a.m. a deputy responded to a residence in 600 block of 2nd Street. A call came to dispatch from the homeowner who advised he was watching a male suspect allegedly trying to break into the front door of his residence.
The deputy contacted 45-year-old Thomas Leonarski who reportedly resisted arrest. The suspect was taken to the ground and given verbal commands to obey lawful orders. Leonarski allegedly physically resisted.
He was eventually taken into custody and charged with conspiracy to commit a Class A felony, attempting to commit a Class A felony, resisting arrest and first-degree criminal trespass. Leonarski was detained without bail.
