Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a Roseburg woman after a disturbance at an establishment early Friday.

A DCSO report said at 12:30 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the business in the 4800 block of Northeast Stephens Street after 47-year-old Larelle Spencer claimed she had been assaulted. Deputies arrived at the bar and contacted the woman, who refused to give her name or explain anything about what had happened. After her lack of help, deputies advised an employee that they would leave the woman at the business unless they wanted her trespassed.

During this time, Spencer allegedly walked up to a deputy and attempted to put her hand in his face. Spencer reportedly then went back to the bar, acting as if she had a gun and pretended to shoot a deputy with her fingers. Shortly after leaving, staff from the bar came outside and asked that the woman be removed.

A deputy went back inside and allegedly found Spencer standing by the bar, chugging a bottle of liquor. She was then detained and reportedly attempted to kick a deputy in the leg. While walking her outside, Spencer allegedly kicked a second deputy in the ankle. She was then taken into custody on two felony counts of attempted assault on a public safety officer, second-degree counts of disorderly conduct and trespass, and for third-degree theft. Spencer was held without bail and was released later in the day.
