The Oregon Department of Transportation will close the Exit 125 northbound loop on-ramp for eastbound Garden Valley Boulevard traffic for four consecutive nights, starting Monday for sidewalk construction.
Dan Latham of ODOT said that ramp is located at the southeast corner of the interchange, next to the northbound off-ramp. Latham said all other ramps at Exit 125, including the straight northbound on-ramp for westbound Garden Valley Boulevard traffic will remain open.
During the ramp closures, local motorists planning to travel north on the freeway are advised to use alternate routes.
Latham said this work is part of a $2.4 million project that will improve safety and the flow of traffic at Exit 125 by adding a dedicated right-turn lane to the northbound off-ramp, replacing traffic signals and upgrading sidewalk ADA ramps. Prime contractor Knife River Materials is scheduled to have all work completed this summer.
