A deputy with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a wanted man after he was spotted in Canyonville on Wednesday afternoon.

A DCSO report said shortly after 3:00 p.m. the deputy saw the 36-year-old by a business in the 300 block of North Main Street.  When the deputy turned his patrol vehicle around, the suspect had disappeared. He was spotted again a couple of blocks down the street.

The suspect was taken into custody and detained for his warrant. The man was held on $6,000 bail.
