Beekeepers and those interested in learning more can attend a Beekeeping 101 workshop on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the auditorium of the Oregon State University Extension Service on Southeast Douglas Avenue in downtown Roseburg.

An Extension release said during the event, participants will learn about the fundamentals of beekeeping, hive design and management, equipment procurement, safety and appropriate pesticide use along with information on alternatives. This workshop is being co-presented by the beekeeping experts from the Umpqua Valley Beekeepers Association, and OSU Extension.
