A Roseburg man was cited for driving under the influence of intoxicants-alcohol on Tuesday night.

An RPD report at 7:50 p.m. a citizen was in line at a store in the 1500 block of Southeast Stephens Street and allegedly saw the clerk refuse to allow a 37-year-old man to purchase alcohol because he was visibly intoxicated. The citizen saw the man get into his vehicle, and drive to a second store where the clerk also refused to sell him alcohol.

The suspect drove back to the first store where he was contacted by police. He consented to standard field sobriety tests which he reportedly performed poorly. He was taken to corrections and released after being cited.
